Purpose of the role:

As a member of the Global Strategy & Pricing Team, you will support and execute on pricing strategies by providing guidance to the internal stakeholders regarding interchange optimization and cost management. Working cross-functionally in the company, you will have a global overview of the interchange, scheme fees and regulation to help develop forward-thinking pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profitability and drive margin expansion. We are looking for an energetic professional who is passionate about improving pricing and its processes and making a difference, having the technical skills to analyze data, create new processes and communicate the outcome in a simple way.

Qualifications:

  • Strongly analytical with background on payments (Interchange).
  • Independent, self-motivator, intelligent, entrepreneurial.
  • Natural communicator.
  • Proficient in English with ability to communicate effectively to both peers and senior executive levels.
  • Flexible yet professional.
  • Highly motivated team player.
  • At minimum holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics or related quantitative degree. MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of the payments industry, including payment processing, credit card interchange and scheme fees and other international payment methods.
  • Ideally with knowledge of data analysis languages (Python, Matlab, SQL, VBA).

Deliverables / Tasks:

  • Track market trends, card network programs, competitor activities in the acquiring space, benchmarking information and synthesizing into recommendations and action plans. This includes updates from providers, schemes, industry news/reports, and technology developments.
  •   Identify optimization opportunities to protect and extend competitive differentiators we provide to our customers, and provide recommendations and plan to increase revenue opportunities. Work with Strategy, Product and Payment Partnership team, leading projects when needed.
  • Analyze our provider’s contract terms, create tools to automatize the validation. Work with Pricing Optimization Team to assist with revenue planning/management. Lead projects and pricing initiatives as needed.
  • Determine the necessary data required to work with projects, pull, analyze the data and perform analysis.
  • Become a single point of knowledge regarding Interchange and Schemes for the Pricing and Strategy team including updates and training to the Sales and Product teams.
  • Update database, create tools, and libraries with findings from research and analysis. Provide updates to internal business partners on competitive pricing practices to develop knowledge & understanding. Promotion of a profitability mindset across the organization through trainings and workshops.
  • Perform data analysis to enrich data sources and increase the quality of information received.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.
