Viacom International Media Networks is looking for a seasoned, passionate and detailed-oriented Senior Director of Product Management to help lead the digital efforts of brands such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Channel, Porta Dos Fundos, Telefe and Telefe Noticias.

The Senior Director of Product Management will be responsible for the Americas product portfolio across all brands and markets and lead product strategy, developement and vision in line with the business’s long-term goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead multiplatform product development for Telefe and Porta Dos Fundos for all their products (apps & webs).
  2. Lead launches and updates — big and small — across VIMN’s brands (MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Channel) and across markets
  3. Secure the execution of the International Multiplaform roadmap in the Americas while ensuring that a) such roadmap is sustainable and b) addresses the cluster’s business needs
  4. Influence the International Multiplaform roadmap through active collaboration, constant feedback and local context (e.g., trends, economic climate, etc.)
  5. Identify and execute cluster-level multiplaform opportunities in addition to those addressed by the International Multiplaform roadmap
  6. Help instill a new multiplaform culture in the organization which is not meant to replace existing business models, but rather future-proof and increase them in scale and reach

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead product vision, execution and culture
  • Manage product portfolio and roadmap across all brands and markets, communicating progress, blocks and launches to stakeholders
  • Interface cross-functionally with business, brands, technology and user experience
  • Lead product teams; manage processes and third-party vendors
  • Ability to act not only as a liaison, but also as an active player contributing to align goals and build a common product portfolio across the Americas, International (HQ,) and other international clusters
  • Ability to act not only strategically, but also tactically translating customers and stakeholders needs into products: creating requirements, high-level technical specifications, user stories, wireframes and prototypes

 

Key Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of consumers across web, mobile, social and TV
  • Strong experience in product development
  • 10+ years of international product management experience in the consumer web and media space (TV broadcasting a plus)
  • Deep understanding of FVOD, SVOD, AVOD, TVE, DTO and D2C business models
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
  • Deep understanding of web and mobile development standards and best practices
  • Deep understanding of video and display advertising standards and best practices
  • Deep understanding of web, mobile, social and TV metrics (KPI)
  • Deep understanding of media processing, digital assets and content management solutions as well as video standards and best practices
  • Deep understanding of agile product development methodologies (“Agile Certified Scrum Product Owner” a plus)

Additional Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of Viacom proprietary solutions: ARC, ISiS, Noah, Coda, Bento and Viacom Pass
  • Deep understanding of Atlassian Confluence and Jira
  • Deep understanding of Google Analytics and Omniture/SiteCatalyst
  • Deep understanding of FreeWheel and DoubleClick for Publishers
